Accelerates the new mobility transition by working with industry leaders, scale-ups, and investors on scaling sustainable and disruptive mobility solutions

Anja is a partner in McKinsey’s Munich office and leader within McKinsey’s Center for Future Mobility and the sustainability work in the Advanced Industries Practice.

She drives impact for automotive and industrial clients in a variety of areas, including sustainable and circular business models, portfolio transformations, product decarbonization, and ESG operating models and financial steering.

Anja is also at the forefront of our mobility disruption work, partnering with start-ups, scale-ups, and investors to accelerate the new mobility transition. In this role she advises clients on a range of strategic and operational topics, including business model scale-up, fundraising, sales acceleration, ecosystem partnerships, and operational efficiency.

As part of her leadership role, Anja helps lead the mobility and sustainability work with some of our strategic partners, including the World Economic Forum and the UN Climate Change Conference COP.

Some of her recent client work in Europe, North America, and Asia–Pacific includes the following:

  • developing and implementing the ESG strategy for a premium vehicle manufacturer
  • creating the decarbonization flight path and financial steering model for a European OEM
  • advising on the eTruck business and pricing model for a commercial vehicle OEM
  • setting ESG targets for a large European industrial company
  • defining the circularity strategy for a vehicle OEM and embedding it across the sourcing and R&D value chain
  • supporting 30+ equity stories and fundraising for mobility disruptors
  • scaling an EV start-up from seed to Series C

Anja holds two master’s degrees from Esade Business School and Stockholm School of Economics. Also, she earned two bachelor’s degrees from Northeastern University in Boston and ESB Business School in Reutlingen.
